Hygiene

Our hygiene program offers a comprehensive range of services based on your individual needs. Plaque is a film of bacteria and food debris which builds up on teeth, especially around the gum line. if plaque is not removed daily it can harden into calculus, which may lead to gum disease. Our hygienists will remove plaque, tartar and surface stains, as well as provide instructions and feedback on your daily oral health care. X-rays and molds may be taken depending on your treatment plan.

Poor oral hygiene has long term effects on the mouth and the body. Untreated gum infection could result in tooth loss and increased risk of developing diabetes, heart disease, as well as other serious illnesses.

A good oral hygiene routine and regular visits to your dentist and hygienist are critical in preventing oral health conditions. Regular check-ups and dental cleanings are one of the best ways to protect your mouth!
